Hi! I'm an enthusiastic Kimono consultant, the manager of Project Japan. Beyond work, I love kimonos, relaxing in onsens, exploring music, and traveling. When it comes to food, I have a soft spot for traditional Japanese cuisine and enjoy Japanese sake, wine, whiskey, and coffee. As a web and video producer, I keep up with the latest in tech.

Introducing beautiful Japanese things!

たまたま立ち寄った北鎌倉の長寿寺。現在特別拝観期間だったようでとてもラッキーでした。
I happened to stop by Chojuji Temple in North Kamakura. I was very lucky that it was a special opening period now. It is open to the public only on weekends in the spring and fall seasons every year (canceled if it rains).

March 3 is "Hina Matsuri" or the Doll's Festival of Japan. It is an annual festival to pray for the healthy growth of girls. Hina dolls are often decorated with peach blossoms??, as well as Hina arare and Hishi-mochi rice cakes (a kind of Japanese confectionery) . People enjoy eating and drinking white sake, chirashi-zushi, and so on. This picture is a folk art Hina dolls made of Japanese paper. On a gold screen behind the dolls, it is written "Happy dolls that bring good luck." #japaneseart #hinamatsuri #girlsday #dollsday #japanholidays #japanculture #kimono #traditionalfashion #traditionaljapanese
